Remove burr with file or scraper.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eClean outside of copper tube thoroughly with sand cloth or sandpaper to the depth of the fitting. Leave no dark spots.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eClean inside of fitting carefully to tube stop with a wire brush. Sand cloth or sandpaper may also be used.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eApply heat uniformly around the fitting with a torch. When the brazing rod melts on contact with the heated fitting, the correct brazing temperature has been reached.
