Installation Guidelines

1. Cut the tube square using a tube cutter or fine hacksaw (32-tooth blade recommended) and remove burrs with a file or scraper.
2. Clean the outside of the tube end thoroughly with sandpaper or sand cloth to the depth of the fitting, ensuring no dark spots remain.
3. Clean the inside of the fitting to the tube stop using a wire brush, sandpaper, or sand cloth.
4. Apply heat uniformly around the fitting with a torch. The correct brazing temperature has been reached when the brazing rod melts upon contact. Remove the flame and feed the brazing rod slightly off-centre at the bottom of the joint, proceeding across the bottom and up to the top, then returning to complete the joint. Wipe off excess brazing alloy with a cloth.
