Brass Flare Fittings & Refrigeration Connectors
Brass flare fittings, flare nuts, swivel unions, and refrigeration connectors for air conditioning and refrigeration pipework. Male and female flare connectors in 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", and 3/4" SAE for all standard refrigerant line connections. Same-day dispatch from UK stock.
Flare Connectors
Equal male flare connectors in 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8" for connecting refrigerant lines at service points and field joints. Equal female flare connectors for mating with male flare fittings on manifold hoses and service equipment. All fittings are manufactured to SAE refrigeration standards and rated for use with all common HFC and HFO refrigerants including R410A, R32, and R1234yf.
Flare Nuts
Standard and short-barrel brass flare nuts in 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", and 3/4" SAE for securing flare connections on copper refrigerant pipe. Short-barrel flare nuts suit tight-access installations where standard nuts cannot be tightened correctly. Always use a flare nut spanner — not an adjustable wrench — to avoid rounding the nut and damaging the flare.
Swivel Unions
Flare x flare swivel unions in 3/8" for field connections requiring rotation or alignment adjustment. Swivel unions prevent torque being transmitted to the copper pipe during tightening, reducing the risk of flare damage.
When to Use Flare vs Solder Fittings
Flare fittings are used for field-serviceable connections — particularly at indoor and outdoor unit connections, service valves, and manifold hose connections. Copper solder fittings are used for permanent brazed joints in the refrigerant circuit. Use flaring tools to produce a clean, consistent 45° flare before fitting.
