Brazing Torches
Brazing is required for all refrigerant circuit copper joints — soft soldering is not suitable for refrigerant pipework. The Turbotorch STK-9 hand torch and Javac Flexi Torch are the trade standards for AC and refrigeration copper pipe brazing. Draper lightweight cutting torch for heavier-duty work. Always braze refrigerant joints under nitrogen purge to prevent internal oxidation and contamination of the refrigerant circuit.
Brazing Rods & Silver Solder
Javac S2 Brazing Rods (1kg pack) for silver brazing of copper refrigerant joints — the correct consumable for all AC and refrigeration pipework connections. Silver Solder sticks (pack of 5, Z602) for general silver soldering applications on copper and brass. Use with the correct flux for the alloy and application.
Soldering Flux
Lawton Soldering Flux Paste — non-acid, non-corrosive, WRAS approved. Available in 113g (SOL-FLF113) with brush in cap and 453g (SOL-FLF453) trade pot. Compliant with EN-ISO 9454 (2.1.2.C). RectorSeal NOKORODE Regular Paste Flux in 48g (14000) and 118g (14030) — a widely specified flux for copper and brass soft soldering in plumbing and HVAC.
Solder Wire
Lawton ECO 1 Lead-Free Solder Wire (SOL-LF3.0) — Alloy 402, 97% tin 3% copper, EN-ISO 9453:2014. 3.20mm, 500g reel. For potable water, heating, and gas. Lawton Leaded Solder Wire (SOL-L3.0) — Alloy 136, 25% tin 74% lead 1% antimony. 3mm, 500g reel. For non-potable and industrial applications only — not for drinking water systems.
Oxygen Equipment
