F-Gas Compliance
Refrigerant recovery is a legal requirement under UK F-Gas regulations — venting refrigerant to atmosphere is illegal and carries significant penalties. All refrigerant must be recovered into approved DOT-rated recovery cylinders before system repair, decommissioning, or refrigerant replacement. Recovery machines must be used by F-Gas certified engineers only.
Recovery Workflow
Connect the recovery machine via manifold gauges and charging hoses to the system service ports. Recover refrigerant into an approved recovery cylinder until system pressure reaches 0 bar. Weigh recovered refrigerant on refrigerant scales for accurate records. After recovery, evacuate with a vacuum pump before repair or recharge.
