Choosing the Right Hose
Match hose fitting size to your manifold — standard 1/4" SAE for most manifolds, 1/2"-20UNF for R410A high-side, 12mm M for R1234yf. Use vacuum-rated large-diameter hoses when evacuating with a vacuum pump to reduce evacuation time. Replace hoses showing signs of cracking, swelling, or fitting wear — a leaking hose causes refrigerant loss and inaccurate pressure readings.
