Hidrox™ — Internal Pipework Limescale Remover
Hidrox™ is a descaling treatment for use on closed water systems and cooling towers. By removing all scale and slime, its advanced formulation effectively cleans the entire open water side of a system, increasing the system's efficiency. A pH indicator dye shows when the descaling process is complete.
Key Features
- For cooling towers, pipework, condensers, water heaters and cast-iron indoor boilers
- Contains inhibitors to protect metal surfaces
- Colour indicator to ensure continued protection
- Ready to use

Directions for Use
- Dose: Add 3 litres of Hidrox™ for each 100 litres of system water (100:3 ratio).
- Wait: Allow system to operate normally for 24 to 48 hours with the bleed line turned off, then drain the whole system.
- Inspect: For systems that cannot be drained after Hidrox™ treatment, increase bleed rate to 2 or 3 times normal — or dilute unused Hidrox™ and flush out system.
- Drain: Allow system water to circulate until it changes again to yellow. Repeat process until system water remains red.
Before using Hidrox™, check its suitability on galvanised surfaces by making a 50/50 solution with water and dabbing on a non-critical surface. If no discolouration occurs, it is safe to continue. Otherwise contact Advanced Engineering.
