Compatible Refrigerants

The 56400 detects leaks from the following refrigerant families:

• ✅ CFCs — e.g. R12, R502
• ✅ HCFCs — e.g. R22, R408A
• ✅ HFCs — e.g. R134a, R404A, R407C, R410A, R32, R507

The 56400 does not detect:

• ❌ HFOs — e.g. R1234yf, R1234ze (requires HFO-specific detector)
• ❌ Natural refrigerants — CO₂, ammonia (R717), hydrocarbons (R290, R600a)
