The Sauermann SI-50 is a peristaltic condensate pump designed for all types of air conditioning units up to 8kW: wall units, air conditioning cabinets, ceiling units, and ducted units. Controlled by the air conditioner compressor power signal (cooling signal), it activates when the compressor runs and continues operating for 4 minutes after the compressor stops to clear residual condensate.

⚠️ Important: The SI-50 is not compatible with reversible or inverter systems as it must not be used in continuous operation. For inverter or reversible systems, see the Sauermann SI-52.

Replaces PE5000

The SI-50 is the direct successor to the discontinued Sauermann PE5000. Note: replacement heads (PE5001) and tubes (PE5002) for the old PE series are not compatible with the SI-50. Use ACC00954 (head) and ACC00953 (hose) for SI-50 servicing.

How does the SI-50 know when to run?

The SI-50 is wired directly to the air conditioner compressor line. It activates when the compressor runs and continues for 4 minutes after the compressor stops to clear any remaining condensate.

Can the SI-50 be used with inverter or reversible AC systems?

No. The SI-50 must not be used in continuous operation and is incompatible with reversible and inverter systems. For these systems, use the Sauermann SI-52 instead.

What is the difference between the SI-50, SI-51, and SI-52?

The SI-50 uses compressor live signal detection. The SI-51 uses thermal probes (temperature differential). The SI-52 uses a float switch and is the only model compatible with inverter and reversible systems.

Can I use PE5000 spare parts (PE5001 head, PE5002 tube) on the SI-50?

No. PE series spare parts are not compatible with the SI-50/51/52. Use ACC00954 (replacement head) and ACC00953 (replacement hose) for SI series servicing.

Does the SI-50 work on UK 230V supply?

Yes. The SI-50 runs on 230V~ 50/60Hz standard UK mains supply.
